Everything the server does, explained for people who just want to play. No coding knowledge needed — if a system exists in Legion Arcana, it's described somewhere on this page.
Legion Arcana runs across a small network of connected servers. You'll spend almost all your time on the main one, called Arcana.
Where you land when you connect. A lobby with portals to the rest of the network. Get back any time with /hub.
The main survival world. Spawn, the shops, the warzone, faction territory and the wilderness all live here.
Two small side worlds. You're sent to them automatically when you start the course or the tutorial.
The world is divided into protected areas. Which one you're standing in decides whether you can be attacked and whether you can build.
| Zone | Can you fight? | Can you build? | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spawn | No | No | The shopping district. All the NPCs are here. |
| Safe Zone | No | No | No PvP in either direction, no ender pearls, no elytra, and hunger doesn't drain. |
| War Zone | Yes | No | Unclaimable free-for-all land. The boss arena sits here. |
| Wilderness | Yes | Yes | Unclaimed land. Build here, or claim it for your faction. |
| Faction territory | Yes | Members only | Land claimed by a faction. See the Factions page. |
Safe zones are absolute. Nobody can attack out of one, into one, or inside one — and that includes staff. Combat tags don't apply there either, so spawn is genuinely safe.
Galleons are the server currency. Everything from wand upgrades to auction bids is paid in them.
Check your balance with /money. Send some to a friend with /pay <player> <amount>
— that opens a confirmation window showing your balance before and after, so you can't fat-finger
an extra zero.
| Source | What you do | Roughly worth |
|---|---|---|
| Selling to the shop | Gather materials and sell them at Mordren's Curio Exchange, or /sell hand if your rank has it | The bulk of most players' income |
| Hunting contracts | Kill a set number of a specific mob for Vaelora | 18–35 Galleons per contract |
| Quests | Kill objectives for Aurelius, then return the Quest Coin | Scales up the more quests you finish |
| Just playing | Nothing — you're paid automatically for time online | A small trickle every 30 minutes |
| World bosses | Take part in a boss fight | 100 Galleons for participating, plus crate keys for the top 3 |
| Chat games | Be first to answer a question in chat | 1–2 Galleons a win |
| Crates | Open a crate that rolls a Galleon reward | 5,000 up to 250,000 |
| The auction house | Sell items to other players | Whatever the market pays |
Daily demand. Every day one item in the shop is picked as the featured buy, and Mr. Burke pays double for it for the rest of that day. It's announced in chat when it changes — worth checking before you sell a big haul.
The wand is the signature weapon of Legion Arcana. It's a ranged magic weapon that never breaks, grows stronger as you invest in it, and is entirely unique to this server.
Visit Orivane the Wandwright at spawn and right-click him. You choose two things: a wood, which sets the wand's name and look, and a core, which is its magical heart. Orivane takes the ingredients and builds the wand for you.
| Wand | Made from | Wand | Made from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Birch (Holly) | Birch Log | Oak (Ash) | Oak Log |
| Dark Oak (Yew) | Dark Oak Log | Spruce (Hornbeam) | Spruce Log |
| Vine | Vines | Dark Oak (Walnut) | Dark Oak Log |
| Mangrove (Willow) | Mangrove Log | Spruce (Fir) | Spruce Log |
| Acacia (Hawthorn) | Acacia Log | Cherry | Cherry Log |
| Mangrove (Cypress) | Mangrove Log | Jungle (Chestnut) | Jungle Log |
Crafted from String. The easiest core to get hold of early on.
Crafted from Dragon's Breath. The hardest to obtain.
Crafted from a Feather. Cheap and always available.
Every wand has a Power level from I to XXV. This is the single biggest factor in how dangerous you are. Power raises your damage and lets you fire faster.
| Power level | Damage per hit | Time between casts | What the wand looks like |
|---|---|---|---|
| I (start) | about 1¼ hearts | 0.50 seconds | Bamboo |
| X | climbing steadily | getting faster | Stick |
| XX | Blaze Rod | ||
| XXV (max) | about 3½ hearts | 0.30 seconds | Breeze Rod |
Damage figures are against a lightly armoured target — heavier armour reduces them, the same as any other weapon. The wand's exact damage number is deliberately hidden in-game; the tooltip reads "Damage: Concealed".
Hold your wand and right-click Vesperis the Wandbinder. Each Power level costs 50 Galleons, so taking a fresh wand from Power I to Power XXV costs 1,200 Galleons in total. You can stop and come back whenever you like — progress is saved on the wand itself.
Wands never stack. Two wands of the same wood and core will always sit in separate inventory slots. Each one carries its own Power level and name, so stacking them would destroy one.
Violetta the Wandsinger runs the wand studio. She doesn't change how strong your wand is — she changes how it looks and sounds: the colour of your spell trail, the particle it leaves behind, the sound it makes when you cast and when you hit. Purely cosmetic, purely for style.
↑ back to topWand combat is not point-and-click. Your spell is guided — you steer it in flight by moving your mouse.
Hold right-click to cast. A bolt leaves your wand and travels up to 28 blocks. While you keep holding, the bolt follows where you're looking, so you can curve it around a pillar or track someone strafing. Let go and it flies straight on.
The guided phase lasts about a third of a second, which is roughly how long the bolt takes to cross its full range. Turning hard mid-flight works, but there's a limit to how sharply the bolt can bend, so wild flicks will lose it.
Practical tip. The parkour course is the best place to get a feel for steering — you'll be casting at blocks rather than at someone shooting back.
A wand also fires a wind charge on the alternate cast, useful for knocking someone off a ledge or launching yourself. Wands can't break blocks, so left-clicking terrain does nothing.
↑ back to topEvery two hours, a boss spawns in the warzone arena and the whole server is invited to kill it. It's the biggest recurring group event on the server.
A boss is chosen at random from three. The event runs for up to 15 minutes — if nobody kills the boss in that time it despawns and the reward goes unclaimed. The arena is a 100 × 100 block area and the boss is leashed inside it, so it can't be dragged away or kited into someone's base.
PvP is off inside the arena. You can't be attacked by other players while fighting the boss, so it's a pure damage race — not an ambush.
All three have an effective health pool of 10,000, which is far beyond any normal mob. Expect a real fight, and bring friends.
The easiest of the three to out-damage, but the webs will pin you in place while the minions swarm. Bring shears or a sword and keep moving.
The hardest hitter. The anvils are the real killer — watch the sky, not the golem, and never stand still under it.
The most frustrating to pin down. She teleports constantly, so ranged damage — your wand — is far more useful than a sword.
| Placing | Reward |
|---|---|
| 1st — most damage dealt | 5 × Boss Crate Key |
| 2nd | 3 × Boss Crate Key |
| 3rd | 1 × Boss Crate Key |
| Everyone who took part | 100 Galleons |
Keys are delivered into your reward inbox rather than dropped on the floor, so you can't lose them
in the scramble. Collect them with /rewards.
A timed jumping challenge in its own private world, with a genuinely valuable prize at the end.
Type /parkour to open the window, which shows you what the course gives and whether
you're allowed to run it right now. Start the run and you're teleported to the course. Reach the
finish plate and you've completed it.
Your wand helps here — the wind charge is a legitimate way to cross a gap you can't jump, and learning to use it well is part of the challenge.
The prize: completing the course pays
2 × Relic Crate Key, delivered straight into your
/rewards inbox. Relic is one of the better crates on the server, so this is well
worth doing.
/spawn, /home,
/homes, /tpa, /tpaccept, /hub, /f,
/warp, /rtp and /crate will all refuse. You can't shortcut
your way to the finish./parkour leave.Crates are the server's reward boxes. You earn a key, you open the matching crate, and a reel spins to pick your prize.
The physical crates stand together in one area. Get there instantly with /crate — it
teleports you after a short stand-still warmup. Right-click a crate to open it if you hold its key,
or click to preview it: every crate shows you its full reward list and real odds
before you spend anything.
| Crate | Where the keys come from | What's inside |
|---|---|---|
| Vote Crate | Voting for the server | Entry-level supplies, netherite gear, Arcanist tools, up to 25,000 Galleons |
| Boss Crate | Placing top 3 in a world boss fight | Combat consumables, starter spawners, first rank and kit notes |
| Relic Crate | Completing the parkour course | Rare relics, beacons, Adept and Expert notes, up to 60,000 Galleons |
| Spawner Crate | Vote crate rolls and events | Nothing but mob spawners — 14 types, flat odds |
| Warlord Crate | Relic crate rolls and events | Raiding and PvP gear, TNT, Master notes, up to 100,000 Galleons |
| Arcane Crate | Warlord crate rolls and events | The top crate. Legend notes, beacons, up to 250,000 Galleons |
| Seasonal Crate | Limited-time events | Currently empty and unopenable — it's stocked when a season runs |
Full reward tables with exact percentages for every crate are on the Ranks & Crates page.
Reward notes. Some crate prizes aren't the thing itself but a note for it — a redeemable paper item for a rank, a kit or another crate key. Notes are ordinary items, which means you can trade or sell them to other players instead of using them. That's deliberate: it makes the top crates worth opening even if you already own what they contain.
You can't open crates while in combat. The crate menu is blocked during a combat tag, so nobody escapes a fight by diving into a reward animation.
Aurelius the Amethyst Sage hands out repeatable kill quests that get more rewarding the more of them you finish.
Right-click Aurelius and he gives you a target — a number of a particular mob to kill. You have 45 minutes. The mobs scale with how many quests you've already done: early quests ask for zombies and skeletons, later ones send you after blazes, endermen, ghasts and wither skeletons.
When you finish the objective, a Quest Coin materialises for you. Carry it back to Aurelius and hand it over to claim your Galleons. The reward grows with your quest count, so the hundredth quest pays considerably better than the first.
Mobs from spawners don't count. Quest and reward systems ignore anything that came out of a mob spawner, so you can't farm quests at a grinder.
Vaelora the Hex Huntress posts bounties on dangerous mobs. Pick one up, go kill the mobs, come back and get paid.
Contracts are a good early-to-mid game income and they push you into parts of the world you might otherwise avoid — the Nether for blazes and wither skeletons, the ocean for guardians.
| Contract | Target | Kills needed | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ravager Hunt | Ravagers | 5 | 35 Galleons |
| Phantom Problem | Phantoms | 15 | 25 Galleons |
| Wither Skeleton Sweep | Wither Skeletons | 15 | 25 Galleons |
| Enderman Hunt | Endermen | 25 | 22 Galleons |
| Guardian Hunt | Guardians | 20 | 22 Galleons |
| Blaze Purge | Blazes | 20 | 20 Galleons |
| Witch Hunt | Witches | 20 | 20 Galleons |
| Ghast Extermination | Ghasts | 8 | 18 Galleons |
Spawn is a shopping district. Each character standing there does one job — right-click any of them to open their window.
| Who | What they do |
|---|---|
| Orivane the Wandwright | Crafts your wand. Pick a wood and a core. |
| Vesperis the Wandbinder | Upgrades wand Power, 50 Galleons a level, up to XXV. |
| Violetta the Wandsinger | Cosmetic wand styling — spell colour, trail particle, cast and impact sounds. |
| Mordren the Curio Broker | The main shop. Buys and sells 532 different items across 15 categories. |
| Selene the Night Auctioneer | The player auction house. |
| Vaelora the Hex Huntress | Hunting contracts. |
| Malvora the Apothecary | PvP potions, paid for in experience levels. |
| Aurelius the Amethyst Sage | Quests. |
| Wilderness Guide | Random teleport into the wild — see the Factions page. |
All the NPC shops are locked during a duel. You can't restock mid-fight.
Open it with /shop or by right-clicking Mordren. It stocks
532 items sorted into fifteen categories.
Every item has a buy price and a sell price, and the shop always buys back for meaningfully less than it sells for — there's no way to make money by simply buying and re-selling.
Quick selling. Players with a paid rank can use /sell hand
to sell whatever they're holding without walking to the shop.
The player-to-player market. Open it with /ah or by visiting Selene.
List anything you own at a price you choose and other players can buy it outright. Browse the public market, or switch to your listings to see what you've got up and cancel anything that isn't selling.
This is where reward notes, spare spawners and rare crate items find a real price.
↑ back to topUse /trade <player> for a direct, face-to-face swap.
Both players get a window, both put in items and Galleons, and both have to confirm before anything moves. Change the offer after someone has confirmed and the confirmation resets — so nobody can swap the goods at the last second.
Trading is safer than dropping items on the ground and safer than trusting someone to pay you afterwards. Use it.
The one shop on the server that doesn't take Galleons. Malvora trades in experience levels.
This is the potion-PvP supply stop. Everything she sells is a standard vanilla potion — nothing custom, nothing that behaves oddly — priced so a full fighting loadout costs exactly 30 levels.
| Potion | Effect | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Splash Potion of Healing II | Instant heal — throw at your own feet mid-fight | 1 level |
| Splash Potion of Swiftness II | Speed II, splashed — catch a runner or break away | 2 levels |
| Potion of Swiftness II | Speed II for 1:30, drinkable | 2 levels |
| Potion of Fire Resistance | Fire immunity for 8:00 | 3 levels |
| Potion of Regeneration | Regeneration for 1:30 | 3 levels |
Full Combat Loadout — 30 levels. One click buys the lot: 4 × Potion of Swiftness II, 2 × Fire Resistance and 16 × Splash Potion of Healing II.
Left-click any potion to buy one, right-click to buy eight. Potions don't stack, so the shop checks you have enough free inventory slots before taking your levels — you'll never pay and then watch the bottles hit the floor.
↑ back to topTwo rank benefits worth explaining here, because they shape how you play.
/kit opens the kit window. Everyone can claim the free Starter kit;
each paid rank adds its own stronger kit and keeps access to every kit below it. A kit is a full
set of armour, tools and a wand, and each is claimable once every 24 hours on its own separate timer.
Vaults are private storage that nothing can take from you — not death, not a raid.
/pv <1-4> opens one. How many you get, and whether you can open them from
anywhere or have to walk to the vault room at spawn, depends on your rank.
| Vault | Size |
|---|---|
| Vault 1 | 27 slots |
| Vault 2 | 36 slots |
| Vault 3 | 45 slots |
| Vault 4 | 54 slots |
Full rank-by-rank breakdown on the Ranks & Crates page.
↑ back to top| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/spawn | Back to spawn, after a short warmup. |
/sethome [name] | Save your current spot as a home. |
/home [name] | Travel to a home, after a warmup. |
/homes | Open a window listing all your homes. |
/delhome <name> | Delete one. |
/tpa <player> | Ask to teleport to someone. |
/tpaccept / /tpdeny | Answer a request. |
/tpcancel | Cancel your own request or warmup. |
/crate | Warp to the crate area. |
/hub | Back to the network lobby. |
/rtp | Random teleport into the wilderness. |
Warmups matter. Teleports don't fire instantly — you have to stand still for a few seconds. Move and it cancels. This is what stops people escaping a losing fight, and teleporting is blocked entirely while you're combat tagged.
How many homes you can save depends on your rank — everyone gets at least one, and the top rank gets seven.
↑ back to topA handful of rules keep fights fair and stop people running away from them.
Hit or get hit by another player and you're tagged for 30 seconds. While tagged you can't teleport or log out safely. The timer refreshes on every hit.
A 16-second cooldown between pearls, shown on the item itself. Pearls are disabled entirely in protected areas.
A totem of undying can only save you once every 2 minutes. Stacking totems won't make you unkillable.
No damage in, out or within. No elytra, no pearls, no hunger drain. Applies to absolutely everyone.
Fall damage is switched off in every protected zone, so you won't die to the drop when you teleport into spawn.
↑ back to topA clean 1v1 with no risk to your gear. Challenge someone with
/duel <player>.
If they accept, you're both taken to a duel arena and given the equipment for the match. Your own inventory is stored safely and handed back afterwards, win or lose — a duel never costs you anything.
Mobs produced by a spawner merge into a single stacked mob instead of filling the area with hundreds of separate entities. A stack can reach 100, and a new mob joins an existing stack if it spawns within 6 blocks of it.
This keeps grinders running smoothly without lagging the server. Only spawner mobs stack — bred animals, mobs from eggs and naturally spawned mobs are left alone.
Sneak and right-click a spawner to pick it up. A confirmation appears first so you don't lose one by accident. Spawners inside protected server regions can't be taken.
Vanilla insomnia phantoms are switched off entirely — staying awake for days summons nothing. Instead, a single phantom visits each eligible player every other night, appearing high above them. Membranes stay obtainable without the constant harassment.
Spawner mobs give no rewards. Quests, hunting contracts and Galleon payouts all ignore anything that came from a spawner. Grinders are for drops and XP, not income.
Things that happen around you without you asking. None of these change the balance of the game — they're the texture of the server.
Every so often a game appears in chat. The first person to type the correct answer wins Galleons. There are four kinds:
A word is scrambled. Unscramble it and type it in chat.
A multiplication question. First correct number wins.
A question about Minecraft or about Legion itself.
Server trivia — who crafts wands, what the currency is, and so on.
Prizes are small (1–2 Galleons) — these are for fun and to keep chat alive, not a serious income. If nobody answers in time the game ends and announces the answer.
The server posts periodic messages into chat: tips, reminders about features you might not have found, and the daily demand notice telling you which item Mr. Burke is paying double for today.
Simply being online earns Galleons. You're paid automatically at 30-minute
intervals — no command, no claiming. Going AFK with /afk marks you as away to other
players.
Items dropped on the ground are periodically cleared to keep the server running well. You get warnings in chat at 30 seconds, 10 seconds and 5 seconds before a sweep — grab your loot when you see them.
The server restarts on a schedule to stay healthy. You get a countdown in chat well in advance,
the world is saved, and combat tags survive the restart so nobody escapes a fight by
timing it. Check the schedule any time with /restart status.
The scoreboard down the right of your screen shows your live stats. Control it with
/scoreboard on, off, or size large|medium|small — or the short
form /sb.
/stats shows your own profile and statistics; /stats <player> shows
someone else's. /staff lists the staff team and their ranks.
Anything the server owes you — boss keys, parkour keys, quest payouts — is delivered into
/rewards rather than dropped at your feet. Nothing is lost if your inventory is full
or you disconnect at the wrong moment.
A set of four upgraded netherite tools — pickaxe, axe, shovel and hoe — that appear as crate rewards. They're a step above ordinary gear and are one of the more sought-after Vote crate rolls.
Higher ranks can carry certain interfaces with them instead of finding the block:
/ec (ender chest), /craft (crafting table), /anvil, and
/trash — a disposal bin that destroys whatever you leave in it. See the
Ranks page for who gets what.
